Director & Founder | Advanced Myofascial Therapist
Integrated hands-on therapy for persistent pain, physical restriction, injury, surgical recovery and overall wellbeing
My approach:
“I believe every body has an innate capacity for healing and adaptation. My role is to help create the conditions that support this process with compassion and care. Above all, I love helping people feel more comfortable and at ease in their bodies, whatever life has brought their way.”
I’m an experienced therapist specialising in Myofascial Release Therapy and Scar Therapy for adults and children. My background is Level 5 Sports & Remedial Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, acupuncture, pain science and myofascial rehabilitation. I work with people experiencing persistent pain, physical restrictions, injury, surgical recovery, as well as those simply seeking comfort and relaxation in their bodies. I founded Feel Better Bristol with a simple aim: to help people feel better in their bodies at any age or stage of life.
My practise is individual, hands-on and responsive. Drawing on extensive specialist training, I adapt each treatment to your needs and how you respond. My treatments combine gentle hands-on therapy with movement, pain education and practical ways to support you between sessions where appropriate. I’m particularly interested in the relationship between fascia, movement, pain and the nervous system, recognising that pain is complex and is influenced by stress, protective movement patterns and life experiences from childhood onwards.
My Healthcare Background
Before moving into bodywork, I spent over 20 years working in frontline healthcare as a Paediatric Dietitian, leading children’s cancer and surgical services, alongside teaching and research. Working closely with children and families through challenging times shaped my understanding of whole-person care. I learnt the importance of listening to each person’s own experiences and looking beyond symptoms to understand the bigger picture.
My own journey through persistent pain and recovery has also shaped the way I work. It gave me a deeper understanding of both the physical and emotional challenges of living with pain. Alongside medical care, I found meditation, holistic approaches and exploring the impact of past experiences and trauma valuable in my own recovery. These experiences strengthened my belief in the connection between physical and emotional wellbeing, and the importance of helping people feel heard, understood and supported.

My Journey with Myofascial Release
I qualified in Holistic Massage in 2012, and then undertook a Level 5 Diploma in Sports & Remedial Massage. I became increasingly interested in fascia, persistent pain and the complex relationship between the body and nervous system. This led me to specialise in Myofascial Release (MFR), completing extensive training with Myofascial Release UK, and advanced work in female pelvic health, the spine, and sport and performance. My practice draws on the John F. Barnes approach, alongside wider training in soft tissue therapies. I’ve continued to deepen my understanding of fascia and anatomy through human dissection training in Cremona, Italy, and studying with leading educators in fascia and rehabilitation.
Over time, I’ve learnt that no single technique works for everyone. My training allows me to adapt my approach, whether that means gentle, sustained hands-on work, more focused soft tissue treatment, or incorporating self care education. What matters most is understanding the person in front of me and responding to what they need, rather than following fixed techniques.
Surgical & Scar Recovery
Scar therapy and lymphatic health have become important areas of my practice, supporting people following surgery, injury and cancer treatment, including those with intimate or sensitive scars. I’ve completed specialist training in RESTORE Scar Therapy and Oncology Scar Care, alongside study in managing adhesions and rehabilitation. Scars can affect movement, sensation and comfort, even long after the skin has healed. I use gentle hands-on techniques to help improve tissue mobility and comfort, supporting your wider recovery. Alongside Becki, I provide a charity scar therapy service at Penny Brohn UK for anyone affected by cancer, and we work with the local charity Bosom Buddies Bristol to support their clients.
Women’s Pelvic Health
I have a particular interest in women’s pelvic health, offering specialist Pelvic Floor Myofascial Release for pelvic floor tension and persistent pelvic pain. My work includes both external and internal pelvic floor MFR, using gentle techniques to address muscle guarding and discomfort. I understand how sensitive and personal pelvic health concerns can be through my own experiences, so treatment is always guided by your comfort, choice and consent, with time to talk through your needs and concerns.
Working with Children & Young People
Having spent many years working with children and families in healthcare, I was keen to continue supporting children through my bodywork practice. I offer gentle, age-appropriate myofascial release and soft tissue therapy for children and young people experiencing pain, anxiety, physical tension, or recovering from surgery. Every child is different, so sessions are relaxed, flexible and guided by their needs and comfort. I take time to build trust, involve carers and help children feel safe and listened to. Being a parent to an active, neurodivergent young person has deepened my understanding of different sensory needs and the importance of positive, respectful experiences of touch and body awareness from an early age.
Movement, Sport & Performance
Movement and sport have always been a big part of my life. I’ve competed in rugby, mountain biking and outdoor pursuits, and currently train and coach in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I love working with people who ask a lot of their bodies, whether that’s athletes, dancers, performers or anyone whose work or passions involve movement. I’ve worked with ballet dancers, singers, actors and magicians, helping them manage injuries, improve movement and feel more comfortable in their bodies so they can keep doing what they love.
Depending on your needs, I draw on sports & remedial massage, myofascial release, medical acupuncture, IASTM, cupping and fascial rehabilitation, adapting treatment to your body and goals.
