Remedial and sports massage therapy

Sports and remedial massage can play a key role in injury rehabilitation and the management of musculoskeletal conditions.  I am a level 5 therapist.. This enables me to assess and treat injuries using a combination of soft tissue techniques and exercise advice.

An initial appointment will usually be 1.5 hours long. A postural and bio-mechanical assessment will be carried out to identify contributing factors to your injury to avoid reoccurrence.

I use many different techniques; soft tissue release, deep tissue massage, holistic massage, myofascial release, medical acupuncture, kinesiology taping, dry cupping and active stretching. Remedial exercises are included to maximise the benefits of treatment and get you back to sport as fast as possible.

I am also a qualified Scar Therapy Practitioner. Working on scars can be help avoid longer term problems with a surgical scar ( I can work a minimum of 8 weeks post surgery). It is also very helpful to work on older scars causing long term restrictions in the body. Some of the conditions that may benefit include: sports injury surgery, cancer surgery, hysterectomies, C-sections
